Tommaso Lana
I work on nurturing self-guided learning experiences.
Tommaso Lana researches on how to nurture self-guided learning experiences in a very hands-on way through sensory perception, motion, and body awareness, mainly targeting grownups who work with and for children in the age group 2鈥8. Tommaso moved to Germany in 2005 to work as facilitator, teaching artist, and manager of visitors services at the Experience Field for the Development of the Senses in聽Wiesbaden. He was co-director at Germany鈥檚 Representative for Cultural and Media Affairs 2011 award-winning social-art/education project called Paradise 2.聽In 2014鈥15 he curated the Learning Outside聽exhibit at the Preschool Museum in聽Berlin. Tommaso performed at SXSWedu 2016 in Austin, Texas, on the topic 鈥淔ostering Motion and Creativity Outdoors.鈥澛燞e introduced his PD and performance project 鈥淚t鈥檚 Time to Invest in Embodied Learning鈥 at SXSWedu 2017. He has an MA in social history from the University of Milan.
