A native of Mt. Desert Island Maine, I have been an educator in our island's school system for 31 years. When I am not in school I enjoy being out on the ocean and hold a 100 ton Captains License and captain a private yacht. I live in Somesville Maine with my wife Joy and my two sons, Keating and Chapin and my two step children Camden and Summit Garland.
