Marieke van Woerkom听is a senior trainer, coach, and curriculum writer for听.听She spearheads Morningside Center鈥檚 restorative practices work, and has introduced restorative circles and discipline into dozens of New York City schools, as well as听schools in听Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Washington, DC.听She coauthored Morningside Center鈥檚 restorative circles curriculum,听Building Belonging, and has written scores of classroom lessons for the organization鈥檚听听website.听Marieke is the author two blogs about restorative circles for Morningside Center as well: 鈥淚n the Circle鈥� and 鈥淎sk the Keeper.鈥�

Marieke has worked in the fields of education, restorative practices, cultural exchange, interfaith dialogue, conflict transformation, violence prevention, and human rights听for over 20听years.听She holds a double master鈥檚 in cultural anthropology and international relations from the University of Amsterdam, with a specialization in group identity and intergroup relations.
