Katy Reckdahl is a regular contributor to the Hechinger Report, The Times-Picayune | The New Orleans Advocate, WDSU television, The New York Times, and The Weather Channel. She has won more than two-dozen first-place awards from the Press Club of New Orleans and received several national awards, including a James Aronson Award and a Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism for print stories, and three Emmy Awards for her TV-documentary work.
