Fourth-Grade Teacher
Jaren Maynard teaches聽fourth grade in Newport News, Virginia. She's also聽taught first grade during her six聽years in education. Jaren recently聽went back to school and graduated last year from the University of Virginia with a master's of education degree in reading, which allowed her to聽obtain聽her聽reading specialist endorsement. She's particularly interested in literacy topics that impact the Black community. 聽
