Elizabeth W. Barnes

Elizabeth W. Barnes is an author, blogger, and the proud parent of a child on the Autism spectrum.

Elizabeth is a work-from-home mom who tries to apply what she learns from being a mom into her profession, and what she learns from her profession into being a mom. When she is not guiding her son through his online school lessons, she writes about autism from a parent perspective, systems and culture change, and education issues related to her son's journey. She works closely with her local school district, serving as a parent member on the district's Special Education Advisory Panel, Culture and Climate Task Force, Autism Task Force, and Gifted and Talented Advisory Panel. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and is the author of training and technical assistance publications related to improving judicial practice in dependency court systems. She blogs at www.Autism-Mom.com.
