Chris O’Neal is a former faculty associate for The Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú and elementary and middle school teacher. During his time in the classroom, he received numerous Teacher of the Year honors. After leaving the classroom, Chris went on to work in the Curriculum and Instruction office for the school district where he worked with teachers in high-risk schools to enhance classroom practice through the use of new teaching strategies and tools. He also developed content to support high-risk classrooms, and provided professional development to teachers and administrators. He went on to work at the State Department of Education in Louisiana, focusing on grant management, policy and planning issues, district support, and eventually becoming the director of educational technology for the State of Louisiana. His work with the Governor’s Office and the Legislature earned him status as an honorary State Senator. He is a featured speaker each year at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) annual conference.

Chris provides leadership professional development, content development, and consulting for ISTE; conducts educational leadership institutes, workshops, and evaluations for several districts around the world, and serves as a leadership facilitator for SETDA (the U.S. State Educational Technology Directors Association.) He also leads numerous large scale projects including 1:1 laptop initiatives, iPod and iPad pilots, and has recently authored a book on data for administrators.
